Simplified naturalisation · Interview preparation

Walk into your Hungarian citizenship interview knowing exactly what to expect.

Konzul is an educational speaking-practice platform. Hold realistic Hungarian conversations with an AI interview partner that adapts to your answers, asks natural follow-up questions, and helps you rehearse the language of the interview out loud.

No credit card. One interview a month on the free plan — all three levels included.

01 · The problem

You can study for months and still not know what the interview will feel like.

Most applicants prepare by memorizing questions, reviewing vocabulary lists, reading forum threads, and watching YouTube walkthroughs.

Despite the preparation, they arrive at the embassy without knowing what the conversation will actually be like — how the officer will speak, how questions will follow one another, how much silence there will be between them.

The interview itself remains the greatest unknown. That uncertainty is what creates the anxiety.

02 · The simulator

A conversation, not a question bank.

Konzul simulates a formal Hungarian conversation so you can rehearse speaking under pressure. Questions arrive in natural order, follow-ups depend on what you say, and the tone of the conversation shifts from session to session.

  • Asks questions the way a formal interview would.
  • Adapts pacing and depth to your answers.
  • Changes topics and follow-ups naturally.
  • Varies interview length and interviewing style.
  • Feels different every time you sit down.

03 · Preparation journey

Three stages. The interview stays the same — only the assistance changes.

Start with full guidance. Remove the training wheels when you're ready.

  2. 02

    Practice

  3. 03

08 · Questions

Frequently asked.

Do I need to speak Hungarian already?
No. Learn mode is designed for beginners: every question is translated, explained, and spoken aloud. You can move to Practice and Embassy modes when you feel ready.
How realistic are the interviews?
Konzul builds a new interviewer strategy for every session — pacing, personality, curiosity, and follow-up style all vary. There are no scripts and no repeated question banks.
Can I use only my voice?
Yes. Practice and Embassy modes are voice-first. Embassy mode has no text on screen at all.
How is readiness calculated?
It's an aggregate read across your recent interviews: language accuracy, evidence gathered per topic, follow-up handling, and interviewer observations. Recent sessions weigh more than older ones.
Is this suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. Free Learn mode is built for people who are just starting. Nothing is timed, nothing is graded, and you can repeat any question as many times as you need.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel in one click, whenever you like. No renewal traps, no downgrade friction.
How many interviews can I take?
Free includes 1 interview per month across all levels. Premium is unlimited — prepare as much as you need before your appointment.
Is Konzul an official service?
No. Konzul is an independent educational platform for language and interview practice. It is not affiliated with the Government of Hungary, any Hungarian embassy or consulate, and it does not provide legal or immigration advice.
