A tour of Konzul

Konzul is a spoken-language learning platform for Hungarian. This page walks through exactly what a paying subscriber gets, screen by screen.

    Create an account

    Email and password, or Google. You accept the Terms and Privacy Notice at sign-up. No card is required to use the free plan.

    • Free plan: one full practice session per calendar month.
    • No voice recordings are stored at any point.

  2. 02

    Choose a practice level

    Three levels of speaking difficulty, chosen from cards on the home screen. Each one starts a spoken session immediately.

    • Learn — you draft in English, the app gives you the Hungarian sentence, you say it aloud.
    • Practice — Hungarian conversation with an optional translation aid.
    • Exam — voice only: no subtitles, no hints, no transcript on screen.

  3. 03

    Speak with the AI examiner

    The examiner asks questions aloud and you answer with your microphone. Sessions run roughly 10–15 minutes across a realistic sequence of topics.

    • Speech is transcribed, answered, and spoken back in Hungarian.
    • Identifiers are removed from text before it is stored or sent to the AI provider.

    Read your feedback report

    After each session you get a written report: pronunciation and fluency observations, topic-by-topic confidence, and an estimated CEFR speaking level.

    • Reports are saved in your journal so you can see progress over time.
    • Practice text is deleted automatically on a fixed retention schedule.

    Upgrade when you want more practice

    Premium is €9.99 per month and removes the monthly session limit. You can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the paid period.

What Konzul is not

Konzul is an independent educational tool for practising spoken Hungarian and interview communication. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Government of Hungary or any consulate, embassy or immigration authority, and it does not provide legal or immigration advice. Nothing in the product promises any particular official outcome.
